DAY 1 - APRIL 25

ARRIVAL & WELCOME IN RAIATEA

Arrive at the Raiatea base by early afternoon. This is your chance to meet the crew, get familiar with your catamaran, and settle in before departure.

what to expect:

  • Welcome orientation with the STS team

  • Assignments to cabins and boats

  • Optional provisioning run to gather groceries and local treats

  • Dinner aboard or at a marina-side café

  • Sunset drinks with your new boatmates

  • Quiet first night sleeping aboard

Fun Fact: Raiatea is considered the spiritual birthplace of Polynesia and home to the Taputapuātea marae, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DAY 2 - APRIL 26

SAIL TO TAHA’A

After a short morning briefing, we cast off and begin our adventure. Today’s sail is through a calm lagoon to the neighboring island of Taha’a.

Activities:

  • Morning sail with views of volcanic ridgelines

  • Dinghy ashore to tour a vanilla plantation or black pearl farm

  • Snorkel the famous Coral Garden drift reef

  • Paddleboard or beachcomb along the motu

  • Shared dinner on deck under the stars

DAY 3 - APRIL 27

SAIL TO BORA BORA

We head west into open water for one of the trip’s most awe-inspiring passages—sailing into the lagoon of Bora Bora.

what to expect:

  • Sailing with dolphins or flying fish along the way

  • Enter Bora Bora’s pass and anchor near a private motu

  • Optional group lunch ashore at a beachfront restaurant

  • Explore by paddleboard or snorkel off the boat

  • Sunset happy hour with Bora Bora’s iconic Mount Otemanu in view

DAY 4 - APRIL 28

BORA BORA LAGOON DAY

No need to hoist the anchor today. You’ll have all day to soak in the magic of Bora Bora.

Choose Your Own Adventure:

  • Snorkel with rays and reef sharks (with a trusted local guide)

  • Relax on Matira Beach—one of the most beautiful in the world

  • Dinghy into town for souvenirs or a cold Hinano beer

  • Optional island hike or 4x4 cultural tour

  • Group BBQ on the beach, weather permitting

DAY 5 - APRIL 29

SAIL TO HUAHINE

It’s a longer sail today—perfect for kicking back with your crew, watching the horizon, or even trying your hand at the helm.

Activities:

  • Offshore sailing with time for journaling, fishing, or reading

  • Arrive in Huahine: lush, quiet, and untamed

  • Optional drift snorkeling or beach walk

  • Visit a traditional fish trap or sacred marae if time permits

  • Dinner on board or ashore in the small village of Fare

DAY 6 - APRIL 30

RETURN TOWARD RAIATEA

The return leg begins with a scenic coastal cruise back to Raiatea.

Activities:

  • Swim stop on the way back—maybe one last coral garden

  • Snorkel, relax, or hop off for one more stroll on a motu

  • Final sunset sail with the group

  • Dockside dinner or crew-hosted potluck

  • Reflection, stories, and maybe even a toast or two

DAY 7 - MAY 1

LAY DAY IN RAIATEA

Spend the day exploring the island or relaxing. Nothing is scheduled—just soak in your last full day of the trip.

Options Include:

  • Paddle the Faaroa River by kayak

  • Visit the Taputapuātea sacred site

  • Explore local markets for pareos, pearls, or fresh fruit

  • Chill on the boat with your new sailing family

  • Last group dinner or outing in town

DAY 8 - MAY 2

DISEMBARK

We say farewell (for now). Disembark in the morning with stories, photos, and friendships that last a lifetime.
